Weather Simple – NWS Forecasts App Reviews

As a visually impaired user that relies on the voiceover screen reader I have downloaded countless apps in search of an accessible weather app with very little success. That is until now. Other applications I have tried either relied completely on graphics which are unreadable or required us to jump through many hoops just to get basic information. Now that I found this application my search is over. Weather Simple provides exactly what I was looking for. My current conditions a long with expected conditions for the rest of the day and a detailed forecast of the next few days with a layout that even the newest of voiceover users would be able to navigate with no issues. Whether youre a cited user looking for a simple app with all the weather details or a blind user looking for an accessible weather app this program is a must.

No click bait, no social media garbage to distract you from understanding whats happening outside. No extra clicks to call up useless information, no gimmicky animation, and no time wasted. Its accurate, concise, and simple. No other weather app delivers a better balance. Plus, the load times have improved and the weather hazard design got simplified. NICE.

This is the BEST weather app I have found and I have tried a TON of them. It has a clean, user friendly interface that uses National Weather Service data making it extremely accurate. Many other weather apps look pretty but require you to search for the information. This is presented in a beautiful format and it is all simple to read. It is easily worth the money for the ONLY weather app that I use now. Download it!! You will not regret it. The updates keep getting better and better!

This is my new favorite weather app. Its immediate access to forecasts done in a simple, straightforward way. Theres no sorting through useless data, intrusive ads, endless scrolling, or waiting for pointless images to load. The friendly icons and color-coded design based on temps add a nice touch too. This is what a weather app should be. New Sunrise/sunset data is a nice touch.

No more guessing what the weather is going to be from numbers, this app finally puts the current weather and forecast into words. Its so well designed and intuitive. I love how I can just read a quick blurb instead of having to scroll through the whole day of temperatures like other crappy apps. I check it once a day and Im all set. Such an elegant design also. Its a must have app.

Instead of numbers and graphs from which you extract a forecast which will have changed within six hours, Weather Simple provides a concise, easily recalled weather brief. A laymans pocket meteorologist. Excellent.

What I love with this app it so simple explain the day in words. I am looking forward if they could only add a radar that would make it my favorite weather app

The app was not only impeccably designed but it was also clearly thought through. What information is the most useful? What do I need? The short blurb is the piece that sets this apart. My only suggestion is to have the real feel temp.

I am incredibly particular about weather apps. First, as I am blind and access my iOS device through Apples built-in screen reader called VoiceOver, an app must be accessible to VoiceOver users. Second, I require that any weather app I use get its forecasts directly from the National Weather Service--simply because NWS forecasts are the most accurate available. Weather Simple fulfills both of these requirements and does so very well. The developer is also very responsive to questions and feedback.
